Vintage Cherry China Teacups and Saucers Pair, Pink Moss Rose Pedestal Cups, Gilded Rim Pierced & Reticulated Heart Saucers. Made in Japan.
$60.00
Cherry China pedestal teacup and saucer sets, manufactured in Japan circa 1945–1952. Listing is for a set of 2. I have two sets of 2 available.
If you are a discerning collector of mid-century Japanese porcelain, you know how difficult it is to find reticulated "lace" edge sets without minor chips in the cutouts or fading to the gold. This pair looks as if it has been stored safely in a china cabinet for decades, entirely untouched. Just minor shelf marking on the underside.
Features an elegant pink moss rose floral pattern gracing both the inside and outside of the pedestal-footed cups. The scalloped rims, raised scrollwork, and ornate handles are heavily detailed with bright, reflective gold gilding.
The true showstoppers of these sets. They feature a spectacular reticulated border with delicate, pierced cutouts that create a romantic, airy lace effect. The underside of both saucers features the authentic pink floral stamp marking them from Cherry China, Made in Japan.
Perfect as a high-end gift for a tea connoisseur, heirloom bridal shower decor, or a standout display centerpiece for cottagecore and shabby-chic aesthetics.
