You'll love this vintage Japanese ceramic set in excellent condition! Add to your collection with this stunning matching pair of authentic Arita Yaki (Arita Ware) porcelain yunomi (handle-free) red, blue and white tea cups, or give as a gift to someone special who loves tea. These are "husband and wife" or "meoto yunomi) meaning two slightly different sizes. One has approximately 6 ounces while the other about 5 ounces. Expertly handcrafted in Japan, these cups showcase a brilliant contrast of traditional styles. The exterior features a rich, deep iron-red glaze layered with hand-painted white cherry blossoms (sakura) and autumn maple leaves (momiji). When you look inside, you are greeted by a vibrant cobalt blue underglaze wash adorned with elegant white cherry blossoms. The backstamp of each cup features a beautifully crisp, hand-painted underglaze blue cherry blossom maker's mark. This set perfectly matches the imagery of Arita porcelain craftsmanship.
