Antique Limoges Teacup and Saucer Set D&C France Delinieres Porcelain Hand Painted Orange Orchid Lily on Yellow Late 19th Century. Imperfect

$15.00

An antique fine porcelain flat teacup and saucer set manufactured by R. Delinières & Cie in Limoges, France. Please read entire description! Featuring the underglaze green "D & C FRANCE" factory mark on the base, this collectible heirloom securely dates between 1894 and 1900.
A late-Victorian set features an exquisite, warm marigold-yellow gradient background. It is beautifully hand-painted with detailed orange orchids (or wild lilies) climbing along slender, naturalistic vines. This cup is remarkably ornate with its branch-like sculptural handle heavily embellished with polished gold metallic gilt.

Teacup: 3.5" wide mouth 2" high
Saucer: 5.5" wide

IMPERFECT antique condition. No crazing. Has tiny chip and barely noticeable hairline fracture. Priced accordingly. Ring tone is clear and high-pitched when tapped gently. The hand-painted botanicals remain vibrant. Gilt shows age appropriate thinning which is typical and expected for a genuine 120+ year old antique piece. An absolute piece of history and beautiful. An incredible conversation piece. Please see all photos for details.
