This is a beautiful vintage Aynsley teacup and saucer signed and hand painted by JA Bailey in pattern 1543. Signature of artist visible inside of the teacup (see picture). This set was crafted somewhere between the 1930's and 1950's. Gorgeous gold gilt and filigree scrollwork create a trip back in time to when drinking tea wasn't just about drinking a beverage, but an experience worth savoring. The base of the teacup is footed, or in a pedestal design. The ornate handle adds character and beauty. Wide 4" diameter mouth on teacup and 5.75" wide saucer. The floral cabbage rose design tops off the femininity of this elegant set. Truly a work of art and has the quality that Aynsley is known for.
